I’ve been contemplating this blog for awhile now and decided to take the leap today. I will attempt to post at least once a week with life updates. This is probably mostly for my own sanity, as I live a crazy, busy life. As an introvert, I don’t really enjoy crazy, busy, but as a multigenerational caregiver, there aren’t many other options. Jesus truly helps me navigate the crazy, busy and I am grateful for everything He does to give me peace and calm.
Let’s see–what shall we talk about? I have an adult child with autism. I’m overweight and have recently recommitted to fixing that. I care for my elderly parents to the best of my ability. I love to crochet. I love Bible journaling and learning more about Jesus. I love photography. I love sunflowers. I love my little family. So any of those topics could appear.
Today, let’s talk about weight loss. In May, I decided to start a pescatarian eating plan. I didn’t really have a reason, except I don’t really love most meats, but I do love seafood. So, since May, I haven’t had any meat, except a half a delicious tenderloin–it’s a Hoosier thing.
I enjoy intermittent fasting. It makes it easier to plan less meals. I like to have a plan. I am making a plan to begin intermittent fasting tomorrow. I will fast for 18 hours a day and eat during a 6 hour window. That eating window will typically be between 1pm – 7pm, but I have no issue adjusting that as needed. I also plan to eat no processed foods for the next 30 days. Timelines are also very important to me.
I’ll weigh in tomorrow and update my progress each Monday, maybe share some food choices, and exercise minutes. But for now, the choices are: pescatarian, intermittent fasting, and no processed food.
Here we go. Forever Blessed.
